The date is set: Saturday, December 7, 2024!
The annual Phoenixville Candlelight House Tour and Holiday Marketplace is once again hosted by the Phoenixville Area Senior Center. Committee members, staff and senior participants await your arrival! Homes and local landmarks, decorated for the holidays, are on your tour this season, and the Marketplace will once again be full of holiday crafters and vendors, foods and beverages.
The starting point is the Phoenixville Area Senior Center, located at 153 Church Street in Phoenixville, PA. The Center will open at 3p so you may pick up your wristbands (purchased online via this page) and Candlelight booklet, which includes information on each home and local institution, and a map to guide you on the way. These wristbands must be worn to gain access to the buildings on the tour.
Then warm yourself with soups, hot drinks, homemade goodies and treats, and visit the Marketplace where crafters will have creations on display for sale. To date, there are chocolate creations, handmade glass ornaments and figurines, hand-knit and crochet afghans, hats and scarves by participants of The Center, and artwork. And more to come!
At 4p the tour begins. The properties will be identified with an outdoor Candlelight Tour sign and luminaries. Parking is available at The Center and the First United Methodist Church on Main Street. If you drive, please be considerate of other tour members and neighbors. The tour ends at 8p, so watch your timing! If you stay too long at one house, you may not get to all of them.
This is an alcohol-free and smoke-free event, and children under 12 are not permitted. As this is a self-guided tour, it may not be appropriate for those with limited mobility.
Purchase your tickets online here, and pick them up at The Center after 3p on Saturday.
Single tickets are $30 online prior to December 7th, and $35 the day of the event when purchased at The Center.
