As the saying goes, ‘many hands make light work.’
There are several areas of our operation that require the assistance of volunteers. The breakdown below gives an overview of how individuals, businesses, corporations, and organized groups may help.
Volunteers are utilized in many ways:
- Daily Operations: food prep and food service with our Chef Brian, computer sign in, lunch clean up, activity facilitation
- Fundraising Events: Spaghetti Dinner, Designer Bag BINGO, Scrapbooking Event, Pancake Breakfast, Candlelight House Tour and Holiday Marketplace, Irish Wake
- Center Events: Mothers and Fathers Days, Oktoberfest, holidays and monthly birthday socials, assemble monthly newsletter and mailings
- Committees: currently these include Governance, Fund Development, Facilities, and Finance. This is a great way to determine your desire to participate as a board member.
- Board Members: steer the direction of the Center
- Corporations/Businesses/Organizations: help us with big tasks like decorating for the holidays, pruning and mulching the landscape, updating facilities of the building, etc.
